These recent conferences gave business leaders the opportunity to come together and share insights on how to achieve business success in China.
The Opening China Summit was the first Leadership Series event in 2015 that focused on advancing our previous discussions on the challenges facing SME importers from China. From tax structures, to international financing, and flexible in-market staffing options, content was clearly focused on not whether or not SME’s need to be active in Southeast Asia, rather how can they do so efficiently.
Strategic Sourcing Forum –
October 17, 2014, Chicago
The Strategic Sourcing Forum was the second Leadership Series event in 2014 that focused squarely on the challenges facing SME importers from China. It focused on entering a new era where double-digit price reductions stemming from labor arbitrage are harder to find. This means SME’s must now aim at becoming more effective and efficient at managing Chinese suppliers if they are to avoid margin compression.

The Leadership Summit series began in 2014 by focusing on mid-sized companies that sought to better understand the business landscape in China and how to successfully develop and execute viable import or export strategies.
